Every girl needs to glitter on her Birthday !!

October 14 fell on a Friday this year, so the family celebration on Saturday began beautifully..
With lantana and morning glory flowers blooming along the brick wall...
After the Birthday girl got up (around 11:00) we headed out...
Our first stop that day was to the classic car show downtown! She likes this beautiful black gansta lookin' car...
But then again she could also go for a Porche, too!!
There were many, many models....
Cars with a surprising history...
Cars that looked like space invaders..
Pictures of...uh...junk...
And the result....after months and months, even years of work!! Gotta love to do this!
And some amazing artwork for you when you open the trunk to put in the groceries...
Recognize this one??! Who knew it would one day be Classic?!
Mark would soooo like to get a jeep again!
Me? I picked this one because it had a cool bumper sticker....keep reading...
Then we traveled to the mall in Tupelo, where there was modeling...er...mugging (!) for the camera!
Then birthday dinner at The Bonanza Steak House....really good food and first time we'd been there.
WAIT A MINUTE?? Where's the cake?? Oh, there's another day to celebrate, it's only Saturday!!
SO, on Sunday the porch gets decorated...check out those balloons, 'cause
they sure look real...real flat that is! They're cardboard...I just
can't blow up balloons very well. They end up the size of ping pong balls and then I get dizzy without oxygen (ha!). These
are fun!!
The Grill Chef works the grill.
Partial cast of characters...
Full cast of characters after the food is distributed. That's Aunt Helen (Mamaw's youngest sister) on the far left, then Grandma Carol, The Birthday Girl, Mamaw, Uncle Larry and Grandpa Gil.
And here's the edible star of the show!! Check out the sparkles on the One-Seven candles! Oh, I
forgot there was a breeze on the porch that had already blown out the
Seven flame...but that still leaves enough to require a big breath....
And there they go....and a wish is made....
And many, happy smiles were the result!!
Now, my dear Aunt Roni.... I'm sure you're wondering just what that Hot
Topic gift card got used for, the gift that YOU are responsible (guilty) for
bringing into this house.....
WOW!! She's in love with these shoes...plans on wearing them to the Junior prom...plans on being as tall as you some day...
Geez, I feel dizzy just looking at them!!
