Almost Halloween

Every year these two ghouls have sat down at our table for a game of cards. I thought we had confused them by moving away, but they had no problem finding us...I forget that time and space are nothing to them...they go where they will when they will. And they have no intention of forgetting us! They're always very jovial, even though there are 5 aces showing, which means someone is cheating.

Now, this is the way the world looks to them...late at night, by moonlight...when I sneak out into the living room to find out who is cackling uncontrollably...

The next day, after I have insisted on what I heard and saw the night before, they show up as colorful inflated plastic characters. Sitting absolutely silent and still. They only play cards at night under a full moon.

Here, choose a plastic pumpkin container to gather your candy loot in. Many Pink Pumpkins here at the Walmart display have simple smiling faces. They don't know that they're different. But the purple ones are in need of counseling... or maybe some medication...

Awwww!!! Ain't she cute?

Welcome to the first post of my new blog, dedicated to friends and family scattered from state to state to country, so you can be subjected... errrr, invited to view our life in Mississippi!! I am thinking this will mostly be photos, so I hope your computer can handle the downloads. I probably won't be able to resist putting in words, though. I once belonged to a Wordless Wednesday group on blogger and I could NEVER just post a photo, always had to say something...nothing like my real self who is quiet, restrained and not prone to expound......OK, OK, you know me, you know that's a teeny, tiny fib.

Alright, so I can't even fib about fibbing without fibbing!

Now I have to tell you that there's been some slight changes in our appearance, you may notice a difference, but I can't say I really do.

Here's us a few months after moving here (the camera's sitting on a boulder, thus the glob in the lower right corner):

And here we are now....

Nope, no difference at all. LOL!!

Thanks for visiting, gang! See you again soon.
Hugz.
